then i noticed the gigantic windows xp monitors.
WTF
Anyone else get an overwhelming sense of MEH? I was (am ) a HUGE fan of early TD, in the Schmoelling and Baumann years (and even a bit of the Haslinger era) but the new stage presence is, well, too "Kenny G" for my tastes. Bongo drums? Really?
At least they put down the saxophones and are playing the great "Poland" in this video.

Did Tangerine Dream ever have a dynamic performance?
When I saw them in the 80's, the most exciting part was when Froese soloed on guitar.
They have become pretty "Kenny G", too.
Anybody seem them back in the 70's? I wonder if they were more interesting live back then, or if the audience was just too stoned to care.

I'm kinda relieved to here these comments. When I've have heard people talk about Tangerine Dream they seem to be touted as major ambient legends
This is the first time I've actually heard/seen Tangerine Dream and I thought it was pretty mediocre and boring, quite a let down from what I'd been led to expect.

tangerine dream have done brilliant work before. phaedra, exit, and some tunes off the anthology are timeless for me. but this is an awful song and performance.
