The LEGO Music Sequencer – Beat Bricks

Superquadratic’s Beat Bricks is a fun example of a tangible music sequencer.

With Beat Bricks, LEGO bricks are used as tangible notes that can be placed on a grid to create sequences. A webcam is used to capture images of the LEGO bricks and convert the tangible sequence into a musical one.

For similar examples, see the Tangible Virtual Drum Machine, Beat Machine or the D-Touch Drum Machine, which uses walnuts.

The software is available as a free download via superquadratic on github.
