Host Mitch Gallagher demonstrates the iConnectMIDI2+ MIDI interface, which makes it easy to interface your computer, tablet, and standard MIDI gear. Unique about the iConnectMIDI2+ is its Audio passThru technology, which lets you route the output of your music apps as digital audio between connected devices.

What if you already have an audio interface ? can you connect the iconnect midi in your soundcard or does it come as a replacement ?
The iConnectMIDI2+ can pair with your current sound card or audio interface using an ‘aggregate device’ (Mac) or by using ‘ASIO4ALL’ (Win). Then you can use them both at at the same time in whichever DAW you wish.
Well impressed with the iCM alright- especially for audio routing, but the MIDI port names are unchangable, even though the MIDI port configurations can be changed- you have to make mental or physical notes to keep it in check… Can be very confusing IMO 🙁 Hope they address this soon.
