Applied Acoustics Systems has introduced Ultra Analog Session 2, described as ‘simple and fun synthesizer’ for OS X & Windows.
“Ultra Analog Session may seem basic but it sounds surprisingly big,” said Marc-Pierre, CEO of AAS. “We’ve used the oscillator and filter from our renowned Ultra Analog VA-2 to form a new and original design. With these exceptional components and clever features, Ultra Analog Session delivers rich and expressive sounds that are just a treat to play.”
The factory library comprises 144 presets, divided into the Arpeggio, Bass, Lead, Pad, and Polysynth categories. Artists, producers, and long-time AAS collaborators Richard Devine and Sean Divine have contributed 50 signature presets each to this collection.
Ultra Analog Session 2 is available now for the introductory price of US $39, through January 15th, 2015 (regular $49).
I had the first version of this and liked it fine. When my 2007 era MacBook coughed up a lung in 2013, I could not get Ultra Analog to work on the new MacBook. Let’s say that trying to resolve the problem was a customer service experience I would not care to have again.
“Ultra analog” lol
Yeah, it’s just dripping in that warm, organic analog goodness 😉
No wonder Moog are going out of business..
