This video, via Classic Vintage, demos the Roland RS-505 Paraphonic String Synthesizer, a classic 70s string synth.

  1. The first studio I ever worked in had the little brother of this, the RS-202. It was nowhere near as pleasing to the ear as the RS-505. We didn’t really use it much except for putting its output through my SH-2 and triggering it from the sequencer. 🙂
