Cakewalk has announced their new Sonar Home Studio for Windows.

Touch-enabled Sonar Home Studio takes full advantage of new Windows 10 audio technologies and drivers to give the user desktop-like performance even with laptop and tablet computers. Sonar Home Studio comes with over 1000 loops, 64 audio tracks/128 MIDI tracks, Overloud TH3 Cakewalk Amp Simulator, full drag-and-drop support, effect plug-ins, Rapture Session synth, an intuitive setup guide, Help Module and more.

  1. If only there were some way for Cakewalk to give some idea of what this product behaves and sounds like.

    I don’t know, perhaps some kind of sequence of moving images with some sound attached. They could use it to show off, or “promote”, the product. They could even refer to it as, maybe, a “promotional video”. I wonder if that idea has ever been used by any other software manufacturer, ever? It must be too technologically difficult to do so, I guess. Maybe there are no websites on which such videos could be made widely available.

    At least “Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio” it is an brand new product name, and won’t clash with any other products of exactly the same name launched ten or so years ago which might confuse the issue when people try to find out about it in the lengthy intro pricing period.

  2. Knowing Cakewalk, they will soon release a tutorial video of it. Just be patient folks. The problem nowadays is that news travel faster than in depth informations. This is the world we live in.
