I had an issue making the upgrade with Mac Yosemite. I succeeded with a PC using Windows.
Good for them, the DM was a good introduction. Uli really stepped in some shit when he started trying so hard to create hype with their clone series, so hopefully he steps back and lets whatever synths speak for themselves.
This is awesome…thanks,,,,,,now I can make a 36 voice beast with my 3 DP12 =D
I haven’t even dug into chord mode yet, it’s on my to do list.
Uli, how about MPE support?
Wouldn’t it need to be multi-timbral to support MPE?
Pretty sure it isn’t
“Wouldn’t it need to be multi-timbral to support MPE?”
No.
How so ? Pretty poor reply. If the DeepMind can only send and receive on one MIDI channel at a time than that would render it useless for MPE. Pretty sure MPE requires multiple MIDI channels to be in use simultaneously. In fact I know it does
Receiving on multiple MIDI channels is not the same as multi-timbral (which assumes that different channels will have different *timbres*).
Make Deppmind receive on 6 (or 12) channels, assigning a channel to an oscillator (effectively, converting it to 6 or 12 monophonic synths, MIDI-wise). All channels sound the same, so it’s not multi-timbral. But it is then pretty much MPE-compatible.
