Audio Damage has introduced Pumphouse, a new compressor effect for iOS.

Pumphouse pairs a compressor (based on AD’s RoughRider 2) with a step sequencer driving an envelope generator. This makes it possible to sidechain-compress pads or a bassline against a 1-measure pattern, without the need for an additional audio input.

AD says that Pumphouse is a quick method for getting ‘That Sound’.

Pumphouse requires transport information to work. AD has tested the AUv3 with AudioBus 3, Cubasis, GarageBand, AUM, ModStep, Zmors Modular, and Beatmaker 3. It will not work with iOS AUv3 hosts that do not have a transport. (AD only notes Auria Pro.) An Inter-App Audio version is also supplied, but it also requires transport info.
