Psychic Modulation has released Phonec 2.3, an update to the soft synth, inspired by the ‘character and ghostly qualities of the video logos heard at the beginning of 80s films on VHS.’
The update introduces a new Melt System, an Acid Filter, Resonance Saturation and Sub-Presets.
Here’s a preview of the new features:
Pricing and Availability
Phonec 2 is available for Windows and Mac (VST/AU), priced at $69 USD.
Sounds pretty cool, thick sounds.
Off topic – but I just wanted to express my thanks and appreciation for the hard work that goes into this site, it has been constantly updated through the Xmas period and is a source of great pleasure and valuable information for myself and many, many others. Happy New Year Synthtopia 🙂
I really like the look of that interface. Unpretentious, easy on the eyes, clear functionality.
I also appreciate the “!?!” help button? As if to say, “HOW TF does this work!?!”
They’re really tackling the Stranger Things buzz.
Randomize button, not help, BTW.
Ah. Thanks for correcting that. That makes more sense, I guess.
I already loved this synth for its unique sounds, and I’m stoked to MELT MY FACE OFF with the new features!
i like the UI and sounds good too
I like the sound of this synth.
On the website and in the manual it does not say whether this synth responds to polypressure or voice-per-channel.
I guess I will have to demo it to find out.
