DIY Mod Turns ROLI Seaboard Block Into Standalone Expressive Synth

Reader Kai Drange shared this video demo of the ‘Axoloti Block‘, a DIY synth, designed to turn the ROLI Seaboard Block into a standalone expressive synthesizer.

“Ever since I got the Seaboard Block,” explains Drange, “I wanted a companion ‘synth block’ for it. Since one didn’t exist, I decided to make my own with an Axoloti board. I wanted it to serve both as a host for the Roli blocks and as an MPE synth. “

  1. wow, I LOVE this kind of device…the roli is an amazing instrument but my refusal to get involved with host computers etc left me out of the picture…this could be my route to all the fun expressiveness that the roli has
