Developer Matt Simmonds let us know about Patchwork, a standalone sequencer for the Commodore 64, tailored to remixing and life performance.
Patchwork is a standalone sequencer with a twist, letting you re-purpose existing SID songs into new instruments and tracks. Captured sounds can be manipulated with various pitch/filter fx and finished songs can then be exported back to SID format for portability.
Here’s an example of Patchwork in action, using SID songs by various authors as sources:
Patchwork is available as a free download and is available via Pouet.net and The Commodore Scene Database.
Now that is really cool. I’m always amazed at what creative people can produce just for the love of it.
Fantastic!!!!
Very cool ……..great video and what a funky interface for this…………really my cuppa!
Did I mention how cool this was?
Shame it’s not for a REAL computer like an Amiga 1000. 😉
Woaaah, one question: can I run this with a Sammich SID and an emulator? I really need to try that!
