Developer Rob Wilmot has released 2XB303 Acid Bass Sequencer, a new iOS app that’s described as ‘creative bass synth sequencer’.
It offers dual 303-inspired bass synthesizers. Here’s what Wilmot has to say about it:
The acid sound can be close to a TB-303, but was first compared to a Cyclone Analogic TT-303 & then tweaked to extend sound shaping for further uses & not just bass. For instance, waves have an optional harmonic version, there is noise, LFO, glide speed & PHAT/ BASS levels to play with plus effects.
2XB303 is, of course, digital, & doesn’t contain a vital transistor. But, it is designed to give much more freedom for creativity and sound beyond the acid sound.
Features:
- Two-step sequencer channels with independent bass synthesis controls and effects.
- Sync to MIDI, Audiobus 3, Ableton Link. Can also Send MIDI int/ext clock out.
- Connect as Audiobus 3/ IAA Effect to control audio, filter and echo through CH 1
- Edit Filter controls like a TB303
- Sequence generation and manipulation techniques with adjustable sequence length and offset.
- Tempo-synced echo, master compression, dream beat metronome modes, IAA audio into Garageband + sync with Garageband.
- Capture/re-sample current pattern including incoming processed audio.
- Export sample via copy/paste, email, iTunes Shared folder.
