Soundiron Intros Cruiser Vaporwave Synth

Soundiron has introduced Cruiser , a new Kontakt synth that they say is ‘perfect for vaporwave, chillwave, nu-disco, new retro wave and all of the raddest Saturday morning cartoon theme songs ever written’.

The Siel Cruise is a 49-key subtractive synthesizer, introduced back in 1981. It was also rebranded and sold as the Sequential Fugue. The keyboard actually contains two independent synthesizers: a monophonic and a polyphonic synth, each with their own presets and options.

Soundiron has sampled 16 different preset banks, with infinite sustains and tight staccatos. In addition, they’ve created 20 custom synth and FX presets, from leads to pads and rhythmic patterns.

The interface also lets you shape the sounds in many ways. You have control over Volume, Attack, Release, Transient Offset, Vibrato and Octave layering. The “Glide” control slider allows you to play legato and portamento leads. You’ll also find an adaptable LFO system, with selectable LFO shape, modulation target parameter, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing and fade-in time. You can also apply your choice of 13 lowpass, high-pass and FX filters, with assignable modulation control options, including velocity, modwheel, expression, after-touch, key position and step-sequencer table control.

You can also use a customizable arpeggiator, with a built-in velocity sequencer table and control over arp direction, note timing, swing, randomization and duration.
