Berlin-based producer and programmer Vitling (David Whiting) has introduced The Endless Acid Banger – a website that lets your web browser create endless acid bangers.
The site is a lot like the late Propellerhead ReBirth, offering two acid-style synthesizers and a four-part drum machine.
By default, the music is generated by an algorithm, and an ‘Autopilot’ option continuously tweaks the knobs, mutes and unmutes drum parts and changes the patterns. You can also interact with various parameters and buttons manually, changing synthesis parameters, muting/unmuting parts and triggering new patterns.
The source code is available as open source code via Github.
Nicely done. The pattern changes are rather abrupt, but the automatic tweaking is good.
Cool
black screen in safari
there is no problem on macs!
🙂
Works on my iPad but can’t manually tweak controls. Can you on other browsers/platforms?
