Make Noise Polimaths First Look

At Superbooth 2025, being held May 8-10 at the FEZ-Berlin, Make Noise previewed the Polimaths, an eight-channel function generator.

In the video, via Sonic State, Make Noise’s Walker Farrell demos the Polimaths and discusses how it builds on the original Maths module, but is also its own thing.

Make Noise Polimaths Video Summary:

“We had a chat with Walker from Make Noise who gave us a look at the *Polimaths*, their latest addition to the new universal synthesizer system. The Polimaths is an eight-channel function generator, a progression from the original two-channel *Maths *released back in 2009. This module expands the core principles of the original Maths by introducing features such as activate, span, channel index, and spread, all designed to offer a new approach to multi-channel electronic instruments.

Walker explained how the Polimaths uses a single gesture to control multiple functions and adds new elements like an oscillation section that creates more complex envelope shapes. The module also features modes like round and cycle to control the eight channels, allowing you to generate intricate modulation patterns across your synthesizer setup.”

Pricing and Availability:

Make Noise anticipates the Polimaths will be available at the end of summer, with a shipping date and price yet to be determined.
