Genki Instruments Introduces KATLA, A Five-Voice Analog Synth With Lava Rock Knobs

Superbooth 2025: Genki Instruments has officially introduced KATLA, a five-voice analog synthesizer that they say features “volcanic modulation, tactile sliders, and lava rock knobs and side-panels.”

KATLA’s sound engine offers five-voice polyphony and a range of modes, including dynamic round robin and unison, for a blend of polyphonic and paraphonic options. Each voice has an analog signal path and modulation sources, like loopable envelopes and integrated LFOs. The interface also offers direct access to timbre controls and onboard effects.

  1. I’ll wait for the 6-voice $1500 Behringer model with the bamboo side panels. I won’t buy it, I’ll just wait. Zen synthesis.

  2. You’d think they would put real faders on it instead of rubber for that price. Udo Gemini gives you a real solid build, poly aftertouch keybed, 20 voices, and much more. And these guys give you a fcking rock.

The sound demos are nothing inspiring either.

  3. Aah – slap a pair of rock cheeks on the sides to make it seem ‘earthy’ ^_^
    – rock solid
    – hard as
    – edgy
    – solid
    – …

      1. *bashes your head in with the Katla and plunders your wealth* “10/10 weapon!” – Techno Vikings

  4. Sliders are nice, the rest feels expensive and gimmicky. Might as well have just painted dollar signs on the rock and saved all the hassle.

This kind of price is used Moog one’s etc which offer as much control and way more possibilities.

Will look nice next my Ferrari or in the bathroom next to the mirror I check my gold teeth in I suppose!
