MIDISID 4 ‘Morpheus’ Synthesizer Features Dual SID Chips For 6-Voice Polyphony

PeacockMedia has introduced MIDISID 4 Morpheus, a 6-voice MIDI synth based on the SID chip used in the Commodore 64.

The SID is a synthesizer on a chip with 3 voices. This has two, for a total of 6 voices. It also has MIDI in, so that you can control it from a keyboard, DAW, or anything else that produces MIDI.

It’s the latest version of their MIDISID synthesizer. Here’s what’s new:

  • Larger screen
  • Revised menu
  • New ‘duophonic’ mode
  • Physical ‘stereo/mono’ switch
  • USB-C socket, capable of acting as a USB host for MIDI-over-USB
  • Switch to Kung Fu SIDs rather than SwinSID nanos

Pricing and Availability:

The MIDISID 4 ‘Morpheus’ synthesizer is available now for $188 USD.
