Waldorf is teasing a new software synthesizer for iPad.
Details are to come, but some of the sounds and visuals in the teaser video suggest that it’s related to the Waldorf Streichfett.
Check it out and let us know what you think Waldorf is introducing in the comments!
Maybe its Streichfett & Waldorf Attack? Streichfett, in and of itself, is something I would personally jump on.
I wasn’t interested until I saw that this synth explodes toast. This put it into “must have” territory.
Yep, that ad was pure, distilled WTF.
The bit about ‘well designed controls’ made me laugh. Ze Germans do have a sense of humour! (That iOS port of the Blofeld felt like its UI wasn’t tested on a touch screen).
Still keen to find out more info about this whenever they share it. The promo sounds nice, which is more important than the weird AI slop concert hall with chairs facing chairs.
Iridium Core please!
Toast Ai lion effect random spread gibberish bling explosion clip …
TouchOSC, the host program that runs the scripts that make the screen do its magic, runs on all platforms, not only iOS. Windows, Mac, Android, Linux, anything running a touch screen can run a TouchOSC script. The host has a nominal license fee but fully functional version can be downloaded for free so I don’t see how they enforce the license. Honor system? Mainly for businesses, I suppose. The very detailed article in MatrixSynth with Vimeo video refers to the Waldorf M, not Streichfett. Seeing as it is a script, assume it can be written to accommodate any device, which appears to be the TouchOSC paradigm. TouchOSC info is at hexler.net
I’m lost
What’s the deal with touchosc? Does it have anything to do with the exploding toast?
The lion requires touchosc to work?
Plot thickens
I think the TouchOSC thing is a totally separate thing, this one has the same tunes as the Streichfett VST launch video.
Yes, I see. My mistake. Two simultaneous Waldorf articles, similar enough that I confused them for the same thing. One is a touch controller for M, the other is a touch synthesizer of no particular description.
I see where the license fee comes in. TouchOSC for Android currently costs $14.99 to install.
Waldorf! NAVE Auv 3 UPDATE…. PLEASE!
So, was that CGI toast or was actual analogue toast harmed in
the production of this video. Waldorf owes us all an answer.
It’s the Streichfett, I’m sure.
I owned one (sold it), and the germans at work told me Streichfett literally means “spread fat”.
Not only the patches used in the video, but also that toast with something “fat” being spread all over it tells it.
Well look at you Sherlock 🙂
maybe its a video synth? some kind of Ai monstrosity
