New modular manufacturer SynTesla has been getting a lot of buzz recently with their social media posts, sharing previews of their module designs, and with the news that the company had built the world’s largest modular synth for Hans Zimmer. But to date, their modules were not available to the general public.
Now SynTesla has announced that their online store is now live on their site.
The initial SynTesla offerings include:
- Complete modular systems, like the 5U MegaHertz two-voice modular synthesizer, and
- Individual Eurorack and Moog format modules.

To save you the time, a complete MegaHertz synthesizer like Zimmer’s with 20 5U modules is EUR $6800 ex tax. Made in France, six in stock. IMHO, expensive but not overpriced. Includes:

I like the look. I haven’t heard enough of the sound to really make up my mind on that though. What I’ve heard so far sounds perfectly OK, and feature wise I’m sure Hans has specified something that is well considered. I just haven’t heard something that really made me sit up and pay attention yet.
I don’t like the look, it feels a bit tacky. It’s like combining steampunk and Alien…. Zimmer’s collab with AJH for the RadioPhonic Synth was much more nicer.
