Pricing & Availability:
MathSynth is currently available as a free download on iOS through the TestFlight beta. The core experience is available at no cost. Finally. I always wondered why there wasn’t really such an option in other synths. Sound=waves=math.
Long time ago there was this great app called DroidBeat Synth, which allowed you to use math formulas to generate sound. It uses bytebeat technology for sound generation.
Really cool, really fun!
It was freeware!
It seems abandonware now (last time it was updated was in 2023), you can download it here:

freeware is great, paid apps are good – subscription is bad especially for something that depends on community input like this
How to make sound design as much fun as a visit to the dentist? ^^
All synths include math and sound design.
What am I missing?
No link to the app was provided
Also, it seems like the final version will be subscription based?
According to the article, by making sounds you unlock free premium months of use.
Subscriptions are a hard pass for me. I don’t care how good the synth may be
If you’re right about the subscription, that sucks & I’m out too. Would’ve loved to buy this as an endless source of interesting single cycle waves.
Ditto. Why not set a decisive standard and a matching price?
I will buy this, but only if Michael McManus can be convinced to reprise his role as Kai from Lexx as the “Virtual Teacher”
“The dead do not play synths.”
that was such a wack show. loved it.
I feel like I was uninvited to a party.
