PLICATA is an experimental software instrument from Alessandro Guardascione built around a patchable monophonic synthesis architecture.
Its signal path combines a morphing oscillator and interval sub-oscillator with a wavefolder and resonant ladder filter, while a 28-socket patch field provides connections for audio, CV and event signals.
The instrument also features a microtonal XY performance keyboard and a 32-step arpeggiator with scenes and mutation functions.
PLICATA runs as a standalone instrument or AUv3 plug-in on iPhone and iPad.
