AudioThing Turns 80’s Sound Master Memory Rhythm SR-88 Drum Machine Into A Plugin

AudioThing has introduced SR-88 – a sample-based plugin emulation of the Sound Master Memory Rhythm SR-88, a rare analog drum machine from the 80s. The instrument features 5 classic analog sounds: Kick, Snare, Hi Hat 1, Hi Hat 2, and Cymbal, which can be pitched, panned or mixed independently. Here’s the official video intro:

New Order Announce New Album, Music Complete

New Order has announced a new album, Music Complete, scheduled for a Sept 25, 2015 release. The album will be New Order’s first full studio release since 2005’s Waiting For The Siren’s Call, and their debut album for Mute.

Is There Anything More 80’s Than This Synth-Pop Sinatra Cover?

Something To Think About

On Oxygene, nothing is repeated the same way. Each sound, even if appears to be the same, has a slightly different attack and release, and, as the sequences are being made by hand, by definition they are not exactly the same. Even the sounds of the drum machines were filtered in a very subtle way to give life inside the patterns.
