Very disappointing. I clicked through and bought this immediately I read the announcement, wanted it to be great but it suffers from really ugly audio glitches on keypresses and releases, so it's not really usable either for entertainment or performance. The concept of sampling the full 7 sec tape is good for the Mellotron purists, but there is truly no audible difference between the sounds here and the Mellotron-derived voices (MelloStringsm MelloFlutes etc.) on the rival Ellatron (which are looped according to their website), but the looped Ellatron sounds allow it to offer over 20 voices compared to just 3 on the Manetron.
Definitely 2nd best in the iPhone Mellotron race.
Nonsense Phil. Less is (far) more.
I was thrilled by Manetron- far more than the rather dissapointing "Ellatron". Yes Ellatron has far more features, but I think this is its downfall- Ellatron simply isn't true to the original enough. Ellatron also doesn't make use of multisamples, which means that at times, Ellatron just sounds like another 'sampler'- not good at all.
enough said.
The really amazing thing is that they're so inexpensive you can try them both for less than the price of lunch.
I bought it, but I not was able to made any sound. It' mute!!! What I need to do to get sound from it?
