GetLoFi Fuzz Kit
The GetLoFi Fuzz Kit is a new DIY project that’s now available in the GetLoFi.com/shop for $26 including WorldWide shipping.
Description:
The circuit is a clone of the classic Fuzz Face transistor circuit from the Internet with a few major LoFi treatments. A voltage Starve has been integrated into the circuit to change the tonality of the sound, Input and Output capacitors can be Bypassed via switches and also the amount of transistor Feedback can be controlled via a potentiometer. All this in a very simple to build great sounding distortion that turns your guitar, keyboard, or drums into stream of square waves and interesting noise artifacts almost like a digital pixelating effect.
Some settings will give you very crunchy 8bit sustain and others can filter the signal into clicks and pops. With the right settings however it can sound like a Boutique distortion worthy of the most picky guitar players. The kit comes with everything needed to assemble this beauty in less than an hour including and schematic and drilling template on the printed insert. Build step by step instructions with pictures are also provided on GetLoFi. The case as always is your choice, anything pulled out of the trash, bought at a thrift, or repurposed is nice.

This is a demo of the new Metasonix KV-100 AssBlaster vacuum tube processor that was shown at the Big City Music booth at the 2009 NAMM Show. The video captures a drum pattern from the Jomox XBase999 analog drum machine getting mangled.
The KV-100 contains the basic preamp stage of the discontinued Metasonix TM-7 Scrotum Smasher, driving the waveshaping (pulser) and ring modulation functions of the discontinued TM-1 (minus the ring-modulator carrier oscillator). These two sections drive a VCO which was derived from the discontinued Metasonix TM-3.
This is a demo for the Behringer VM-1 Vintage Time Machine. The VM1 is an effects pedal that offers chorus, vibrato and delay effects, with up to 550 ms of analog echo.
Features:
- Get up to 550 ms of organic echo, chorus and vibrato
- Dedicated Delay, Chorus/Vibrato, Feedback, Mix and Level controls
- Blue status LED for effect on/off and battery check
- True hard-wire bypass for ultimate signal integrity
- Runs on 9 V battery or the BEHRINGER PSU-SB DC power supply (not included)
New Analog Delay Effects Pedal

Godlyke has released the Maxon AD999 Pro Analog Delay.
The AD999 Pro uses four custom-made Maxon MC4107D bucket brigade IC’s with 900 milliseconds of available delay time. Delay repeats are then filtered using Maxon’s proprietary RMS level sensor and companding noise reduction circuitry to provide the most pristine, low-noise analog delay tone available.
The street price for the AD999 Pro is $399.99. Read more…
