New Kontakt Library, Vapor Keys 2, Teleports You Back 30 Years

Karanyi Sounds has introduced Vapor Keys 2, a new sound library that they say is designed to teleport you back 30 years:

“Remember those shiny, glitchy, vintage sounds and waving synthesizer beds from the 90s TV ads and videogames? Or the melting themes from movies like Miami Vice, Beverly Hills, or GTA Vice City?

Well, Vapor Keys 2 instantly brings you back in time: a unique Kontakt 6 collection of carefully recorded FM and analog classics. Taste the luxury of the 90s.

Vapor Keys 2 follows the concept of its ancestor (like DX and Vapor Keys 1): creating great-sounding patches in second and teleport you thirty years back in time to get a super authentic 90s synth sound. Or we could say back to the future? Because this instrument collection is designed to be fresh and unique for modern music productions, especially hip hop, trap, glitch hop, lo-fi, vaporwave, or house music.”

Features:

  • 90+ Factory presets
  • Sounds from 5 classic synths (Super JV, Juno 106, JX & 8P & Yamaha DX11)
  • 4 Easy-to-Access FX (2 EQ, Phaser & Chorus)
  • Recorded in 96kHz, 24bit (converted to 48kHz, 24bit for Kontakt 6)
  • 1.6 GB total size (3.1 GB uncompressed)
  • Kontakt 6.2.2 (or later) required

Pricing and Availability

Vapor Keys 2 is available now with an intro price of $29.00 (normally $50.00).

  1. vaporwave aesthetics? in 2021? oof.

but more seriously, the demo vid actually sounds quite good. I’m very skeptical of niche, hype-driven microgenre-specific kontakt libraries, especially with something as tired as vaporwhatever. but the demo *is* nice…

  2. If no one ever made another soft synth, sound pack or preset pack…We have all the sounds we’d ever need, forever.

    1. people gotta eat

      im sure you understand this

      its called “supply and demand”

and “grammy award winning artists” LOL
