Behringer has officially introduced the 1601 Sequencer, an unofficial copy of the ARP 1601 sequencer from the 1970s, in Eurorack format.
The module provides a 16-step sequence that can also be divided into two independent 8-step patterns, along with three gate buses and a range of control-voltage inputs and outputs.
Features:
- Single 16-step or double 8-step sequences
- 3 separate gate buses with individual step switches
- Quantized 2-octave pitch range for notes
- Free 10-octave CV pitch range for non-pitched effects – great for controlling filter cutoff or PWM
- Skip and Reset buttons with CV in for full control of your sequences
- Step switches can be used in Skip or Reset mode for creative performances
- Clock FM control and CV input for controlling tempo
- Clock Pulse Width control and CV input for adjusting the gate length – from staccato to legato
- Clocked Gate 1 out for creating accents using the Gate Bus 1 switches
- CV input for transposing sequences using a keyboard or other controllers
- Position 1 CV out for triggering events, like automatically stopping the sequence when looping back
- Separate Quantize inputs for using the quantizer on external CV signals
- Additional 4-multiples for convenient patching
- Complete Eurorack solution – main module can be transferred to a standard Eurorack case
- 42 controls give you direct and real-time access to all important parameters
- MIDI and USB support with MIDI channel and MIDI transport controls
