iZotope Photon Offers Stem Separation For Music, Video And Dialogue

iZotope has introduced Photon, a standalone application and ARA2 plugin designed for AI-powered stem separation and audio enhancement.

Developed in collaboration with Boris FX, the software uses 12 custom-trained machine-learning models that run locally on the user’s GPU, rather than requiring cloud processing.

Photon can separate finished music recordings into vocals, drums, bass and other elements, with additional models for isolating kick, snare, hi-hat, toms and cymbals. Its Cinema 4 Stems model separates dialogue, music, sound effects and other audio, while Voice Separator can isolate up to six individual speakers from a recording.

Additional models handle noise reduction and voice restoration, including indoor and outdoor recordings affected by traffic, wind, room noise and echo. The software also supports processing video files and exporting them with the original picture retained.

Photon’s ARA2 plugin integrates with compatible DAWs including Cubase, REAPER and Pro Tools, allowing processing within existing projects. A built-in Model Manager provides access to additional and updated processing models.

Pricing & Availability:

iZotope Photon is available now for macOS and Windows. The regular price is $349, with an introductory promotional price of $259 through December 7, 2026.
