Quadelectra has introduced Mercury – a true 4 voice polyphonic arpeggiator for the Reason Rack.

Mercury can be used either in your songs, or for live performances where you want a fast and elegant way to play chord sequences and progressions.

Here’s a preview of Mercury in action:

Features:

  • Polyphonic Arpeggiator: Fully featured apreggiator with Range, Pitch / Transpose, Gate, Shuffle and Velocity features, similar to the RPG-8.
  • Chord Matrix: A way to create chords, chord variations and custom apreggiations.
  • Scale Conforming: Conform all played notes to a specific key or scale.
  • Auto-Chord: A Yamaha-style Auto chord function, for playing chords easy.
  • Latch Mode: Press a chord momentarily and Mercury will keep playing until you hit the same chord again.
  • CV Modulation Friendly: Apply custom tweaks to the chord sequencer for up to 4 different parameters. Each one will be exported simultaneously to all target instruments.
  • Mercury comes with a set of 110 patches and combinators.

    1. Why would you care if you do not use Reason? Can’t you be happy with the VAST amount of VSTs you can use right now instead of crying on a blog about something that will have zero impact on your creativity?

      1. I also miss the days when saying “I miss something” did not meant “crying on a blog”. But this is the internet, where everything said is easily interpreted negatively by idiots, and understood positively by the rest.

Why would I care? Exactly because I do not use Reason and would probably use some of the RE’s that are available, and a lot of other people than me would buy these plugins if it were available for the DAW they use.

Now why do you care so much as to try to imply I’m “crying on a blog” when I was just expressing the joy of the good days when plugins were shipped in every formats? Do you feel so strong about RE’s staying exclusive to Reason that you must insult me? That is seriously sad.

  1. Cool. Wish I still used Reason… Back in the day, I had to wire up multiple matrix sequencers – one for each note. THAT was a pain in the ass. This is really cool and would have saved me tons of time. Also much cooler than having to scroll down a rack to see your notes. Coolness… Every time I see something like this, it makes me miss Reason a little bit more.

  2. Love it, đŸ™‚
I have grew up listening to amongs others to Tangerine Dream and this RE extension allows me to replicate (to certain extent) “that” TD vibe đŸ™‚
