The new version adds support for controlling VST/AU plugins and Max For Live devices, directly from your iPad.

Here’s what’s new in Pull 2.0:

  • Control of VST, AU plugins and Max for Live Devices directly from your iPad
  • A template for every live native device (over 60 templates).
  • A simple framework to create your own templates (no Max development needed. You can simply create all of your templates in Lemur)
  • Mixing controls for tracks
  • Navigation between devices/tracks – even inside rack chains
  • Rename drum pad names
  • Drum rack slider scrolling – scroll up/down.
  • Detailed template creation tutorial
  • Demonstration templates for CamelCrusher VST and XVAnalogFilter Max for Live Device

Here’s a demo of Pull in action:

Requires:

  • Ableton 9.1.4 (or lower)
  • Max for Live 6.1.8 (or lower)
  • Lemur 5 App for iPad

Pull is available via the Xmonsta site for £25.00.

    1. I would love to see a version of Ableton Live for the iPad. But they’re already slow enough with updates – I would hate to see them get even slower because they put resources into making an iOS app.

      1. Don’t they make enough money to be able to hire a developer ( not Retronyms) to make it for them and ensure continued development????

      1. i think the modular nature of laptop + controller is nice. an all in one would just be a controller with a computer inside anyway. unless that was replaceable you may have an obsolete device after some software updates.

  1. Can anybody who own this app tell me how the Sampler device looks? They only show it for a second in the demo video but its the device i use most so it needs to be fully functional for me. Can you see your sample the app?

    1. Hi Apcnt,

Feel free to contact us at [email protected] and we’ll happily send over some screenshots and explain how sampler works. Pretty much every parameter is available apart from a couple on the front panel (which you would probably wouldn’t want to change through a touchscreen anyway).

      Cheers

      X

      1. What’s with the install, where’s the difficulty? Is it with installing it in lemur then onto iPad or getting it to talk and marry up to Ableton?
        Cheers, James.

        1. The install involves copying some files into your Max For Live installation. On windows this is easy, because the folders just overwrite. However, on a MAC the folders need to be merged and there are different ways to merge files on a MAC depending on which version you’re using. If you’re used to copying files around on your computer it should be easy.

Then there is setting up Lemur to communicate with your computer. You just need to have a functioning network and to type the IP addresses in Max and Lemur for them to communicate together. Here’s a tutorial on network set up for Lemur – http://desertsoundstudios.com/2013/lemur-setup

Most of our time support time consists of setting up general Lemur connection. Not really setting up PULL. However, we help unconditionally, to ensure the software is working for every user. We’ve managed to get every single person set up so far 🙂
