“Moe” (pronounced Mo-Eh) is a Japanese slang, which originally means budding, but now also means fetish of love for anime and manga characters.
It’s closer, at least in common discussion, to cute anime characters. (also assosciated with loli and hentais (2d child porn, not that I have anything against it, but the fans are annoying as hell))
