Steve Roach has announced SoundQuest Fest 2010 – An International Gathering of Sonic Innovators and Ambient Architects:
After a few years of planning, we’re proud to announce SoundQuest Fest 2010!
Like Steve’s previous Tucson concert happenings over the past 18 years, it will be an event not to be missed. The electricity in the air is always high at these concerts, with attendees from far and wide meeting up again or for the first time. Those who have attended these events in the past know it’s worth the effort to make the adventure to Tucson. In the hometown atmosphere, the dynamic intensity of Steve’s live realm is taken to another level, coupled with a high-resolution sound presentation by Roger King.
After increasingly larger solo events in Tucson every few years, this time Steve has invited a select gathering of kindred spirits from the U.S. and Europe to join-in on a once-in-a-lifetime event. A festival of this nature, for this genre of music, is rare in the United States, and we encourage you to take part in this special moment in time.
The SoundQuest Fest will be a one-day event in an intimate, great-sounding theater just 20 minutes from the airport, near downtown Tucson and just a short drive away from the heart of the Sonoran Desert. A newly-constructed hotel one block from the theater is offering special rates for SoundQuest Fest attendees. It’s sure to be a relaxing and inspiring weekend immersed in the deep-end of the soundcurrent.
