  1. I've tried to use my iPad to play, but if you've ever seen a musician's sheet music it's all marked up. This just isn't practical on an iPad. Although, it is piratical on other tablets, like my Dell Latitude XT, due to pen input. I just wish that thing was a little thinner so it would sit on my music stand.

  2. You can read music or lyrics, use iRig and AmpliTube for your actual sound, I've seen bands use backing tracks or special effects triggered by mini-samplers and such and you could do that with an iPad too, and much more. Gigging guitarists have shown great interest in this.

  8. Actually this isn't bad at all. Depending on the software available for the iPad this makes more sense than using a laptop as a sequencer or midi for my Roland kit. I'm sure it could be mounted on a cymbal arm pretty easily.
