Moog Slim Phatty Analog Synth Review

The Moog Slim Phatty – also known as the Moooooog Slim Phatty – gets the usual thorough review and workout from Sonic State in this video.

The Moog Slim Phatty is the entry-level Moog. At about $800, it’s the most affordable Moog synth and it offers a solid package and a lot of bang for the buck.

See Sonic State for more of their thoughts and the Moog site for details on the Slim Phatty.

  1. different universe. One warm voice versus 4 harsh and aggressive voices. Wasn't happy with the phatty's built quality, tho. Wobbly cheap knobs and I caught myself several times checking if I pressed the buttons properly.
Sounds beefy (not on a Minimoog D level tho) and definately more fun to play with than the tetra perfomance wise but for a synth you want to grow old with I would not recommend it.
