This video, via phono1337, demonstrates using the free Korg SyncKontrol as a clock generator for a modular synthesizer.

By itself, it’s marginally useful. But, with SyncKontrol’s MIDI support, you could use it to sync analog synths to to virtual instruments running on iOS.
