Loopy HD Now Available For $3.99 & Is One Sick Looper

Loopy HD

Developer A Tasty Pixel has released Loopy HD (App Store link) – an advanced audio looping application for iOS.

If you’re not familiar with Loopy for iOS, it’s one sick looper. Loopy HD goes further, though, doubling the number of loops that you can layer.

At $3.99, Loopy HD is a no-brainer purchase for any iOS user interested in looping. That said, where’s the MIDI?

Demo and details below.

If you’ve used Loopy HD, leave a comment and let us know what you think of it!

Here’s a demo video for Loopy HD. While it’s an official video, it’s not that great of a demo, with distorted audio. If you do a user demo that’s better, leave the URL in a comment!

  1. Where’s the MIDI: On it’s way, I promise! I wanted to get that bad boy out the door first, but MIDI’s the next thing on my agenda – expect it within a few weeks.

  2. Oh need an EQ sooo bad…its like slippery MUDD..and yes I know..Its $ 4…yet…useless professionally unless outputs can be router to EQ…

  3. Congrats Tasty Pixel people. This is a great app – precisely the kind of toy/to/tool attitude i want in an iOS app. Does it support core audio stuff for inputs via USB? Is it possible to switch inputs on the fly? For instance, if i’m using an adaptor to play guitar directly in, can i switch to the built in mic for the next loop?

I’m excited to see how this evolves. Keeping the genius simplicity in tact of while adding what are, I’m sure, emphatic feature requests will be hard, but very cool, work.

    1. Thanks, Joshua! You know, I haven’t done any testing with USB devices yet – so I’m not sure! I do know that there’s a bunch of stuff that works out-of-the-box with the audio engine, though, so it may. If it does work, then you can indeed switch on the fly – although you’d need to unplug to switch to the internal mic!
