Bitwig Bringing ‘Mind-Blowing’ Update To NAMM Show

bitwig-studioBitwig has announced that it will be introducing a ‘mind-blowing’ update to its cross-platform DAW, Bitwig Studio, at the 2015 NAMM Show.

Here’s what they have to say about it:

2014 was a banner year for Bitwig, and the sales straight up rocked for Bitwig Studio. To celebrate, we’re continuing our promotion sale beyond January 15th. For an extended time save big on all the breakthrough features of Bitwig Studio 1.1.

We’re on our way to NAMM next week to offer a sneak preview of what’s in store for our next mind-blowing free update, Bitwig Studio 1.2

We’ll have details as they are announced.

        1. Bitwig Studio = the best option I’ve found to get me out of the Ableton rut.
          I mean cult.
          I mean dead end.
          I mean all of it.

No longer wasting money on musical prison bars, and actually finishing tracks again.

    1. During the 4 years or so they were beta testing Bitwig and boring us with updates, I developed a slogan that I still use today. “To hell with Bitwig.”

  1. Yeah come on. I mean, I love Bitwig, even though I’m waiting it out for version 2.0. But still…. leave the everlasting teasers be. We will ALL be watching the NAMM form all over the world. This is really a waste of space. And Team Bitwig; please just…. just dont.

  2. I think I have to sell after NAMM my TR-909, Moog Voyager, Andromeda A6, DSI Evolver, Minibrute, MS20, Elektron Rytm, Ableton, RME Fireface and so on to buy the new “mind blowing Soundcard” by Arturia, the new “mind blowing” Update by Bitwig, the new revolutionary Aira Line with the 99$ 707 Update and some other new stuff like the forthcoming Casio Grooveboxes.

    1. A couple of years ago, everything that got introduced was a ‘game changer’.

Usually the pre-NAMM hype is BS, but these guys, along with Elektron, Korg, Roland, Novation, Arturia and a few others, have actually been doing some pretty amazing stuff the last couple of years. I hope that they can keep it up!

  3. Hu? I thought it was confirmed that 1.2 is all about finally bringing group tracks? Or is this a secret?
That’s all i’m waiting for, can’t switch without. Will there be more?

  4. I just bought Bitwig (Arturia producer pack is awesome, btw) and am learning it, but I LOVE that they brought a new product to market and appear to be sinking their profits into making it better for existing and future customers. This makes me much more comfortable having bought a product that’s brand new, and I hope it sets the bar for new companies and new products.

  5. mindblowing? so it will actually have what they said 1.0 will have?
    doubtful.
also, the comment about producers pack – thats not a good sign when in under a year of release they bundle it for 1/4 of its ‘value’

  6. Bitwig put out a press release about an extension to their sale price. At the end, they did what ever music gear in the world is doing: trying to get the press to spend some quality time at their namn both.

Synthopia made the headline but it’s not the lede from the press release. Just saying.

  7. would like to know more about the arturia producers pack, what’s that about?

also Nardwar, what is it that you think it might be?

  8. I really hope it supports comping and the ability to record multiple takes. Unless your midi only, and primarily working with vsts, Bitwig just isn’t there yet. I really like it’s interface though, and will be continuing to watch it and when they support this feature or at least a built in way to rewire Bitwig into Logic I will probably use it.

  9. Nothing more mind blowing that giving it all away for free for maybe 24 – 48 hours… That would blow my mind. And I would definitely download bitwig.

    1. Actually it is about time Ableton came out with a new version and possibly at NAMM.
That could take some of the hype away from Bitwig.

That said companies like Bitwig keep the others on their toes.
