Acoustica has released the latest update of their Mixcraft recording software. Mixcraft 7.7 and Mixcraft Pro Studio 7.7 boast a new one-click “publish” feature allowing for one-click sharing of music and videos directly to YouTube, Facebook, Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Vimeo, or Twitter.
Mixcraft has been optimized for use with the new Windows 10 operating system, and Mixcraft 7.7’s audio mixing threads are now afforded the “absolute highest priority” on Windows 10, so other system functions won’t interrupt the music. Additionally, when Mixcraft 7.7 is used with low-latency Windows 10 audio drivers, it is now possible to achieve audio latency as low as 5 ms while still allowing other applications to share your audio device.
Mixcraft 7.7 ($89.95) is a complete recording studio designed for home and project studios, featuring unlimited MIDI and audio tracks, a live performance panel, MIDI editing (notation, step and piano-roll), 15 virtual instruments and 25 effects, video editing, mixing and mastering, a streamlined interface, and over 8900 loops, sound effects, and drum samples. This new version also includes two new samplers, the Alpha Sampler and Omni Sampler, and two “massive-sounding” virtual instruments, G-Sonique’s Renegade Analog Monster and AAS’s expressive new Journeys instrument.
Mixcraft Pro Studio 7.7 ($164.95) is geared for more advanced home and professional project studios and includes “over $1100 worth” of plug-ins (20 virtual instruments and 52 effects). Highlights include Memorymoon and ME80 vintage analog synthesizers, Pianissimo grand piano, QuikQuak’s Glass Viper, and dozens of “high-end power mastering” effects from iZotope, G-Sonique, ToneBoosters, BeatRig’s Sidekick 6 sidechain compressor and Studio Devil’s Virtual Bass Amp.
Pricing and Availability. Mixcraft 7.7 and Mixcraft Pro Studio 7.7 are free upgrades for existing, registered Mixcraft users, and are priced as mentioned above for new customers. For more information check out the Acoustica website.
