myVolts has introduced a 5-way power splitter cable for Roland Boutique synthesizers and other gear.
It lets you power up to 5 Boutique synths from one outlet. It’s micro USB, too, so it can also be used with other devices that use this connector.
It comes with a 2000mA USB power adapter – enough power for 5 Boutiques. If you already have a 2000mA or more USB power adapter, you can also just get the splitter cable on its own.
And if you want to be totally untethered, you can plug it into a USB power bank with one port capable of delivering 2000mA or more.
It’s compatible with all the Roland Boutiques in the range – including the JX-03, VP-03, TB-03, JP-08, JU-06, TR-09 and A-01.
Option ‘5-way splitter PLUS PSU’ includes the 5-way splitter PLUS a myVolts 5V 2000mA USB power supply adaptor, to power from one to five Boutiques.
Option ‘5-way splitter only’ includes only the 5-way splitter, you’ll need to supply your own 5V USB power adaptor. Each Roland Boutique draws up to 400mA of current, so if you want to power 5, you need a USB power adaptor capable of delivering 2000mA.

now if the can make something for us with large fingers
This is fantastic. I just wish they had made a 6 port though. 2 each of JP-8, JX-03, JU-06.
Why are the cables bright yellow?!
Yikes! That yellow color was a deal breaker for me.
I wonder if there could be ground noise if all powerd together ..
Yes, good question. That was the original problem I had when I powered multiple units from a single USB hub. I eventually went to a single USB to AC plug for each unit to lose the hum.
I think you might end up with “overworked power supply noise”, but not ground noise.
who on earth was stupid enough to buy 5 boutiques
does anyone get a hum from this yellow cable? I get a hum from idvidual low grade USB cables and am looking for a solution.
This cable doesn’t isolate ground, so doesn’t solve hum if you plug many Boutiques on that cable, whatever the power supply is behind (I have a 3A). The only viable solution is to have a separate power supply for each.
so basically I wasted my money on this?
Basically yes. So I did !
