Eric Mouquet from Deep Forest plays a Waldorf Wave through a Pyramid and an Onde from La Voix du Luthier.
The Pyramid & Onde are unique speakers that marry the sound of electronic instruments with a resonating body. The speakers, designed in collaboration with Haken Audio, are designed to “give the sound of a luthier’s expertise in acoustics to any electronic instruments and guitars.”
fun fact re the wave: it has transport control buttons, but no internal sequencer. an utter trainwreck, os-wise. waldorf had zero interest to update the firmware of their (former) flagship. somewhat sh*tty attitude imo.
This might be awesome, but we’ll never know until they start recording it properly.

What are you looking for? They’ve got it close-mic’d with what appears to be a decent microphone. That seems like a sensible way to record something like this.
Are you looking for something more produced – with reverb and such – or a multi-mic recording?
The recording is almost mono, and in phone or camera mic quality. They could at least set up an x-y pair.
Most people track single instruments in mono like this – so it sounds like you’re looking for a demo of this mixed with reverb and such.
Maybe they should do an example like that, for people that are less familiar with recording and mixing?
No, wrong. I’m interested in a high-quality stereo recording, that would represent these speakers more accurately. This demo was recorded with only built-in camera mic.
Check out my video. I spent quite a bit of time finding a sweet spot for the Onde recording.

Nice!
You would better capture the room acoustics with an x-y setup to better demonstrate how the instrument sounds in the room. No post “reverb and such” required.
Put a Buchla through the thing and we might really hear something.
