SampleScience Releases Free Stylo Synthesis Virtual Instrument

SampleScience has announced the release of a new virtual instrument, Stylo Synthesis.

Stylo Synthesis is a virtual recreation of the famous Stylophone portable organ from the 60s. According to the product announcement, “most Stylophone plugins and libraries use very short samples that don’t reflect the unstable nature of this instrument.” For Stylo Synthesis, each note has been sampled for 5 seconds to capture these “magic imperfections.” The result, developers say, is the most accurate Stylophone emulation, preserving the attack and sustain of the original instrument.

Stylo Synthesis (Plugin Version) Features:

  • 1 multi-sampled instrument
  • 1 sample per note
  • Multi-LFO
  • Room reverb
  • Lowpass/highpass filter
  • Low-CPU usage
  • Amplitude range controls
  • 3 voice modes: polyphonic, monophonic, and legato
  • Available as a VST/VST3/AU plugin instrument for Windows and macOS.

Stylo Synthesis is also available as Kontakt and Decent Sampler libraries.

SampleScience is offering all versions of their Stylo Synthesis virtual instrument on a “name a fair price” basis on the SampleScience website, where more information and specifications are also available.
