Pittsburgh Modular Taiga Review

In his latest loopop video, host Ziv Eliraz takes an in-depth look at the new Pittsburgh Modular Taiga, a 3-oscillator semi-modular paraphonic synthesizer that can be used standalone, or as a 60HP panel in a larger Eurorack system.

Eliraz describes Taiga as what Bob Moog & Don Buchla might have created, if they had collaborated on a synth in the 70s.

    1. Look at it like an entry into modular, but you have several modules built into one. Which… OK, that’s the exact opposite of modular. But yeah, if you think of it as a starter set of modules… that happen to be combined into one unit…

  1. So great to see a synth doing something other than trying to be a relic of the past! This is the first synth in a long time that I feel can deliver something new to the sonic palette.
