  1. Not meaning to throw any shade, but some of this sounds a lot like the generic “cinematic trailer music” everybody has been piecing together with the same Heavyocity and Spitfire libraries over the last decade. Maybe it’s because many directors demand it or because everyone else is copying these guys, but it feels as if you have heard it a thousand times before.

    1. The original TMNT comics were actually full of angst and redundant edgyness. Then the brand changed to TMHT, cartoons released, and its all been a watered down hill ever since

  2. some of the more accessible and lighter stuff that darker film makers and composers make is because they have kids and they actually want their kids to be able to see / hear something they do, like ‘hey kids come watch Gone Girl’ lol. they may have done it for their kids.

      1. I enjoy writing both inaccessible and accessible music, and different styles satisfy different creative itches me for me.

People often have several reasons for choosing the projects that they work on. It doesn’t have to be as myopic as “either or”, it could just as easily be “yes, and”.

  3. im sure his children think he’s is awesome! more important than angry middle age bloggers. the animation looks pretty cool . turtles will continue to make as much money as they can . we create a society based on money and looks like we are not changing it.

  4. It’s wild how all it takes is a post like this and you immediately realize that a bunch of joyless and boring turds frequent this blog.

  5. These comment sections are mostly full of crabby old dudes who are desperate to have their lame opinions heard (every day), and it sucks.

  6. Thankfully a little balance in the comments .started off pretty critic al ,those that can DO..those that can’t criticize…Very American these days to form and voice and opinion without fully knowing what the he’ll you are talking about. I feel for T.R. he has the craziest of fans (good and bad)and is the most misunderstood and under appreciated artist if our generation. I have introduced countless people to NIN that were intimidated by the name…”you know Jesus was crucified by nine inch nailsdont you? Arghhh and just like some of the aforementioned critics above had formed an opinion while having their head up their ass. This artist creates..art..beautiful art ..varied and nuanced. The soundtrack to Soul and Mank in the same year..amazing and also head like a hole..which 98 % of people think is about sex and not capitalism….The same people who think Keep on rocking in the Free world is a good choice for a political campaign.. An anti American anthem if ever there was one… 50 % of Americans have an I Q in the double digits ! We are so fu#ked ps sorry for any typos autocorrect and ham hock fingers
Go ahead carve me up…I vented and I feel better
Ps nin vevo tension tour at staples center 2013 best tour and concert I have ever witnessed..Bonus tb Chris Cornell and Soundgarden as warm up band ? There just might be a higher power My kids first rock concert ..all downhill after that lol

  7. What track from this list is a main theme track?
We love main theme for long years..
new time, new real, but where here is a main theme?

  8. Why do TMNT wear masks? Where do they go that they worry about being recognized? Do they think they actually blend in without the masks? I think they have more to be concerned about.
