In his latest video, synthesist Hainbach takes a look at the CHOMPI, a new sampling keyboard that’s designed to make musique concrète style audio manipulation fast and fun.
Production of the CHOMPI was funded via a Kickstarter project, which was a big hit, raising over a million dollars from over 2,000 backers.
CHOMPI isn’t going to compete on number of features, but is instead intended to simple and fun to use. Is it successful?

Mine just arrived. It’s a work of genius.
Its just plain old fun right. Synths are fun to program but its nice to have a desktop device that just gets it done with minimal learning and menu/manual diving.
#1 Question about this: “Can the handle be removed ?”
#1 Answer: “Yes.” But beware, when you take it off, the Chompi transforms into a big ol’ pink spaceship.
