  1. The best part is that the people of the North of Portugal, where Imaginando is located (Braga), pronounce the letter B with a V sound, hence TV3. Well played!

  2. The synth implementation is a little bland, I felt there was something missing in the oscillators of filter. Also you have to go into a menu to change the oscillator waveform. I liked the acid face but it gets a little distracting after a while so I switched to the bar pattern or left the options screen up.

But I really like the pattern generator. The scale, key, complexity, and MIDI out options are super-useful and produce quite musical results, rather than feeling completely random.

    1. The filter isn’t even close. This is always true of digital emulations of analog filters, it becomes most painfully obvious when the resonance is pushed hard as is standard in (proper) acid. (Again, unlike in the demo).

It’s not a bad VST by any means, but the point is none of them are particularly good at doing this task.

      1. Yeah I have a Cyclone which is about 10x and lively and raucous even without any distortion applied to the output. Oh well you get what you pay for.
