Sounds Of The Dreadbox Artemis 6-Voice Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer

Here’s a Shut Up & Play style demo, via VCO USA, of the new Dreadbox Artemis 6-Voice Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer.

Here’s what they have to say about the technical details:

“All of these sound demos are from single patches from Artemis and only use the on-board Sinevibes effects. Headphones or Real Speakers recommended!”

  1. Well at least its cheap but as synths go it’s the same thing all over again. I don’t understand why they keep on releasing those uninspired synhts.

    1. Artists find inspiration in life, not in their instruments. They are just the tools to express the artistic vision. Artemis is an excellent tool for an artist that values the sound quality it provides.

        1. It kinda sounds like gpt grammar correction but this is actually spot on. It’s the opposite of marketing talk that promises you “This tool will make you more creative”.
All these complaints about a synth being boring come from people who are dissatisfied with their productivity.
          You can’t buy inspiration.

    2. Out of touch perspective. It’s not cheap for most people. It’s not my favorite but watch someone do cool stuff with it.

      1. You have an out-of-touch perspective.
It’s cheap for what it is, like how a CNC machine can be considered cheap for what it offers. Whether most people can afford a CNC machine is irrelevant.

        1. Maybe compared to an Oberheim it’s cheap? Over $1k is not cheap by any means. Something a company will own like a CNC machine is not even in the same category. This is for most people going to be a home-use synth for making music or maybe with a band. This isn’t a $50k mixing desk a business will buy. Keep sniffing your own farts.

          1. This is an idiotic reply. It’s cheap compared to any other boutique-made (not made in China) analog polysynth with this kind of extensive UI, not to mention the high-quality effects section.

    3. Not all synths are made with those mind whose creativity is based on newness. If you can’t make things work with what’s available, nothing is ever going to help you.

Synths like these (with a lot of overlap with existing synths, in production or retired) are for those who start are still in the process of covering gaps in their needs. Not the gaps in your needs.

  2. I don’t find it uninspired. The sound, UI, and build are great. Easy to work with while having a lot of extras. Only real comparison is the Sequential 6 series which are much more expensive.
