Canadian composer & synthesist Sarah Belle Reid shared this video overview and demo of the Black Corporation Kijimi Mk2.

The Kijimi is an 8-voice analog polyphonic synthesizer with polyphonic aftertouch and MPE capability.

“In this video, we’ll take a look at everything that’s inside Kijimi and how it all works, and I’ll share some of my favorite approaches to using Kijimi as an interactive instrument for live performance and as an experimental sound design tool.

  1. Synth looks good….that tiny screen though?! I get manufacturers don’t want the screen to dominate all the physical controls, but making it postage stamp sized is bad is daft, iamgine trying to read this on stage. Better off with an old-school 2 line text LCD.

    1. I didn’t notice that there is a tiny screen, until you mentioned it.
      – it’s only the size of a single knob space !

      1. Nobody mentioned micro tuning, why are you making things up?

        Look at the video, the screen is used for patch selection and voice count. If something goes wrong with a patch change (or you want to jam out) then it’s easier to select the patch you want if you don’t have to squint at the screen.

  2. Looking forward to seeing Behringer’s take on the RSF Polykobol as well. Should be interesting to compare against Kijimi.
