Garritan has released new versions of their Personal Orchestra and Jazz & Big Band libraries.

Garritan Personal Orchestra and Garritan Jazz & Big Band now ship with the new Kontakt Player 2 from Native Instruments. These new versions are also now Apple Intel-Mac/Universal Binary compatible. They continue to run as a stand-alone as well as VST, DXi, Audio Units, DX and Pro Tools RTAS plug-in formats so they work with all popular sequencers, DAWs and supported notation programs. These versions are now optimized and specifically programmed for integration with Finale 2008 and Sibelius 5.

In addition, the new versions are available as a free downloadable update to all registered users of previous versions of Personal Orchestra and Jazz/Big Band.

Garritan Personal Orchestra is an affordable orchestral library for musicians and composers featuring high-quality strings, brass, woodwinds, keyboards and percussion instruments. The Garritan Jazz and Big Band library is the world’s first Jazz and big band library featuring over 50 jazz instruments including saxes, trumpets and trombones (including mutes), a complete rhythm section (3 drum kits), guitars, jazz piano, electric piano, woodwinds, basses, Latin percussion and more. Both libraries are industry standards and were designed for easy playability and feature standardized controls for dynamics and expression. Ensemble building enables users to quickly build sections and ensembles of varying size—with individual instruments.

Garritan Personal Orchestra is price at $199 and Garritan Jazz & Big Band is priced at $249. The Kontakt 2 Player/MacIntel versions are shipping now.
