This is a demo video for the DIYtar – a DIY keytar that may not help you to look badass like Herbie Hancock – but at least it will be fun to build.
Why make a DIYtar?
According to creator larsby:
Which is the worlds sexiest and awesomest instrument? yes, the keytar. But what if you want special features on it and are to cheap to buy one of ebay?
That is what I am. Cheap and special, that is why I made my own.

I thought a DIY keytar was simpler than this; just screw a guitar-strap onto any keyboard and enjoy.

well done! Not a beauty – but it’s cool that you customized it the way you want.
i\ll probably make the next one beautiful though. I have noticed that 500mm long softpots are to long.
I’m going to turn a synth into a working bong and it will look better and be more useful.
