Free Music Software: The Venom VB-303 is a pattern-based acid bassline synthesizer for Windows inspired by the Roland TB-303.
Venom VB-303 is actively under development, but is still in beta.

is there (free or not) a 303 for mac?
yes, ABL2 for example, has a Mac OSX version too
not free, but it's the closest software synth to catch the most important characters of a TB-303, if you ask me..
