Roland Updates SH-101 Plug-Out Software Synth

roland-sh-101-plugoutRoland US has recently announced an update to its SH-101 PLUG-OUT software synth.

Updated Features in Version 1.01 include:

  • 32-bit AU is supported.
  • [OPTION] button not working in some DAWs is fixed.
  • Activation sometimes not working with Facebook is fixed.

A list of host applications (DAWs) that are compatible with the updated SH-101 PLUG-OUT is available on the Roland US website, and includes Cubase 7.5, Sonar X3, Presonus Studio One 2, Ableton Live 9, and Logic Pro X.

  1. If you don’t want the keyboard why not try something like the D15 Lush 101 (or the SH101ter as it was known at one point)?

  2. Normally I’d ask for just an AudioUnit with no annoying keyboard dongle, but the single oscillator SH-101 was never one of my favorites. How about doing something a bit more full-featured next like the SH-2, Sh-5, Sh-7, ProMars, or the System 100 (& expander modules).
